With support via a grant from Arts Council England Ghost Streets carried out a documentary photography project to create a visual record of the spaces and life in and around the Hockley Flyover. The project took place between February and June 2020 which included the period when the UK was under lockdown to help contain COVID-19. The impact of the lockdown meant that the community engagement in the spaces was restricted and instead the area was recorded via a series of solitary walks by Ghost Streets founder Tracey Thorne.
This project provides a visual record of Hockley Flyover during these extraordinary times and captures the solitude of the space whilst the cars were absent.
